What kind of art supplies can I use to color this book?

We recommend fine markers & color pencils. We've also tested crayons, watercolor paints, and regular markers. They work too—but here's the trick: when using watercolor paints or regular markers, place a piece of scrap paper under the page. That way, if heavy color seeps through, the next illustration won't be affected. Also use a scrap piece to test your mediums first.

Is the paper thick enough? Can I use markers on the book?

Indeed we use a 65lb paper stock. But some markers can still bleed through. We strongly recommend putting a piece of paper behind the page when using markers—just in case. Also, large applications of color from regular markers can make the paper curl. So let the colors dry a little before turning the page.

 

I use watercolor paints or pens. Can I use them on this coloring book?

Yes you can—though the paper isn't the best for watercolors and will begin to curl. Here's what works:

  • Remove the page from the book.

  • Lay it on a board or other hard surface and tape the edges down.

  • Mix your paint with as little water as possible. That prevents over-saturating the paper.

What is the age range for Color Your Warrior?

We recommend 8 and up, because the illustrations show warrior themes. But here's the honest truth: one of our goals was to create illustrations that both kids & adults could enjoy coloring and display with pride.


Parents: please look at the sample illustrations in our product photos and decide for yourself if this book is right for your child.

I live outside the U.S. Can I still purchase the Color Your Warrior book?

Unfortunately we are currently only shipping in the U.S. But we do plan to ship outside the United States in the future!

The backgrounds are blank. Is that a design flaw?

Not a flaw—it’s a feature. We left backgrounds empty so you can invent your own world. Draw a battlefield, a forest, a castle, or leave it minimal. Your warrior, your setting.

When you finish a page, snap a photo and tag us. We might share it on our socials (with your permission). No pressure—just love seeing what people create.

The pages are one‑sided. Can I cut them out and frame them?

Absolutely. That’s one reason we printed one‑sided. You can carefully slice along the coil binding or just tear along the perforation? (Wait, we don’t have perforation—note to self.) Actually, use scissors. But yes: frame them, gift them, stick them on your fridge. We’d be honored.

What does “limited first edition” mean? Should I buy now or wait?

It means we printed a small batch. When they’re gone, they’re gone—at least for this first run. We might do a another run of this book later. So if you want this book, don’t wait too long. But also no fake scarcity. We’re just a tiny garage in Idaho hand‑packing every order.

How long does shipping take? Do you offer tracking?

We ship from Idaho within 1–3 business days of your order (usually faster, but we’re human). You’ll get a tracking number automatically from Shopify once we print the label. Delivery time depends on your location—typically 2–7 days in the lower 48. Alaska and Hawaii, add a few extra. We’re keeping it simple. But if you need a gift by a certain date, just email us. We’ll do our best.
